1 - Document my hobby progress

Primarily the aim is to document progress here on blogger. I have been using Instagram and Facebook bits but that ends up rather disjounted. I will review progress monthly and add any milestones or targets like events / tournaments.

2 - Finish the Necron 40K Army

First I need 2K for my first 40K tournament which is being run at my local club early Feb. By the end of the year I want to clear my full backlog of Necrons so this will be my goto army for quick games and events. That will include the TT Combat Necron scenery and Necron themed objectives.

Most of the army bar some big vehicles have been built and primed. A lot of the infantry are in painting progress and the scarabs are done.

3 - Finish a couple of Age of Sigmar Armies

As I am mostly playing Age of Sigmar at the club I want to get a couple of armies finished to the point I can just pick them up and go. The Stormcast are in painting progress so just need a target and to be finished. The Krule Boyz are built and need to be primed / painted but is pretty much complete build wise, unless a second wave of releases arrives.

4 - New Year New Army - Iron Jawz (Bloodtoofs)

Most of my Age of Sigmar armies are ranged heavy. I want a pure melee force and the red ones go faster Bloodtoofs with there cavelry focus will be the new army for this year. They can be combined with the Krule Boyz for a 'Big Waaagh!' force and also run with Kragnos. This has been kick started with the Premium Kit from Mortal Realms and the anniversary Orruk model. The range is pretty small so some start collectings and a mawkrusha is a full army with Kragnos. Armies on Parade is doing a Jan - Feb target so will aim to them to a basic cohesive standard by end of Feb.

5 - Blood Bowl Teams

The Khorne team I want to do to a high standard and have some basing work todo before I prime them. I also want to build the star players and cheerleaders before working on them all together.
I had prepped the human, not-bret, black ork and goblin teams ready for painting but got pushed aside when various events got cancelled. These should get painted alongside my AoS armies in similiar colour schemes.

I am still playing in an online league weekly but that uses BB2 so is old rules. I have yet to play the latest version and want to get to some tournaments, assuming covid restrictions relax as I have been avoiding events during the pandemic. So another BB target is to play some games of the latest version and get the rules memorised.

6 - Necromunda

Before we start another club campaign I want to get them all battle ready. Including building a few more basic gangers with different weapon options, mainly flamers for the team theme. The gangs tend to be smaller than Blood Bowl teams so this is a matter of focusing on the target again.

7 - D&D Model of the Month

I have been buying some iconic D&D minis like Beholders, Mimics and the Gelatinous Cube. The come pre-primed ready to paint so want to work on one of these a month for something different. Being different they may nice proxies for BB Big Guys, Chaos Spawn and other monsters. If I run out of the fancy models I also have a couple of D&D board games I will be painting up.

8 - Underworlds

I want to go to some events when they are running. I will finish the Stormcast and Orruk based warbands as part of the AoS armies above so want to try them out first.

9 - Speed Waaagh!

Further down the road when other resolutions have been tackled I want to work with the backlog of Speed Freeks I never built. I want a new start collecting, some extra deffkoptas and that new scenery piece they have to finish of the range. The core of the range is in the backlog so there is no hurry for the extras.

10 - Reduce the backlog

Generic aim to avoid buying more than I am processing. Dangers are wild rumours of World Eaters and Squats coming for 40K and any new weirdness in AoS. Previewed faction updates coming are skips for me and I have plenty of Ork goodness to work with in my 40K backlog. AoS / Warcry / Demons makes the largest part of my backlog and will focus on the demons when relevant AoS / 40K books arrive.
